Francophone Economic Development Organizations

Francophone Economic Development Organizations (FEDOs) support the economic development of Francophone communities in Western Canada.

FEDOs offer a range of services in urban and rural settings, working closely with Francophone businesses and organizations representing the Francophone community. These services include:

  • Business planning advice; 
  • Mentoring;
  • Personalized advisory and consultancy services for small- and medium-sized enterprises; 
  • Support to firms seeking funding; 
  • Marketing guidance and support; 
  • SME personnel training; 
  • Coaching for female entrepreneurs; 
  • Entrepreneurship promotion in schools; and 
  • Community economic development support.

Since 1998, the Société de développement économique de la Colombie-Britannique, British Columbia’s FEDO, has made a major contribution to creating, maintaining and developing relationships, services and activities designed to foster Francophone economic development in British Columbia.
