Since the administration of Federal Council hospitality is a new task in some regions, WD should develop some administration guidelines for Federal Council hospitality.  These guidelines should be consistent across all regions and compliant with the Treasury Board Secretariat Hospitality Policy.

Corporate Services will work with Corporate Finance and the Regional Managers, Finance and Corporate Services to develop standard administration guidelines for Federal Council hospitality.  These guidelines will be compliant with the Treasury Board Secretariat Hospitality Policy and applied in all regions.

1.2 Monitoring, Reporting and Quality of Information – monitoring mechanism in place, deficiencies are reported and corrected.

WD should ensure, where practical, that those individuals who are approving hospitality are not also directly benefiting from that hospitality event.

Corporate Services will work with Corporate Finance and the Regional Managers, Finance and Corporate Services, to develop departmental hospitality procedures to address instances where hospitality expenses are incurred in compliance with the policy and attended by a departmental employee in the regular course of business.
